What is the WAN port on the WG3526?

The WG3526 has 4 Gigabit LAN ports that are used as a network switch for hardwiring devices to your router. The WAN port is only used when the device is being used as a backup internet. For example, a restaurant has to have internet access to authorize credit card purchases. If their internet service is down, that leaves them without the ability to easily take payments. In this situation, the WG3526 with cellular service can be a backup plan that will automatically take over if the cabled internet fails. In this instance, the cabled internet would plug into the WAN port.
