The difference between 2.4G and 5G

You may have noticed when your device boots up, there are two different Wi-Fi options: one is 2.4G, and the other is 5G.
The 5G signal will be faster if you are in the same room as the router, but it does not travel as far or pass through walls well, so it has a smaller area coverage. The 2.4G will not be as fast as 5G if you are in the same room as the router, but it will pass through walls better and have a larger area coverage.
